Senior Sales Executive-Marketing Technology & Services

Job Description

The Senior Sales Executive will lead sales efforts on assigned target accounts, and will be expected to become a Subject Matter Expert for the company’s technology, pricing and service offering in the assigned vertical, generating opportunities from the assigned target accounts and working closely with the assigned sales engineer to deliver product demos and proposals that close new business. This position will be 100% focused on closing new business and expanding  our client’s presence in the marketplace.

Duties & Responsibilities

The Senior Sales Executive (SSE) will be responsible for leading sales efforts, focusing on a group of assigned accounts who are prospects for products and services.  The SSE will be responsible for developing an understanding of each assigned prospect company, managing outreach to the assigned accounts to generate interest, preparing and delivering an initial capabilities presentation and online/in-person product demonstration, and following up to bring the opportunity to a close.

Each SSE will be responsible for:

  • Attaining sales quotas and updating sales activities and opportunities in
  • Building personal relationships with the targeted prospective companies in support of sales growth initiatives
  • Analyzing prospective customer needs and application and developing a relevant value proposition
  • Engaging and nurturing potential clients
  • Managing long and short term sales cycles
  • Evaluating the sales opportunities for new products and services in assigned area, and determine those with the greatest profit potential

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned, energetic, and versatile sales professional with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales success and execute the company’s corporate goals and objectives. We are seeking successful sales talent with the following attributes:

  • 7+ years’ experience selling SaaS technology products and related services
  • Experience in selling to the marketing organization of large corporations
  • Expertise in developing and nurturing relationships with marketing decision-makers
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success and the ability to achieve aggressive sales quotas
  • Hands-on orientation and roll-up-your-sleeves mentality that is crucial for success in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills as well as strong strategic sales, negotiation and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work in collaborative environment
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, integrity, etiquette and relationship management skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills, in particular, follow-up and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to adapt to different environments and personality styles
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate internal company resources
  • Financial acumen and business case ROI development
